A few clinical trial on the benefits of sunlight and its components (isolated UV or infrared light):
1. This is a really cool one, in first grade students spending 11 hours out in the sun per week was associated with less myopia overall and 54% lower risk of rapid myopia progression Probably stems from a combination of bright light and long distance viewing

2. Higher sun exposure from ages 6-15 was also associated with lower risk of multiple sclerosis later in life
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12907484/
3. This study found that in 3 month old infants UV light exposure was linked with significantly lower eczema onset, while vitamin D supplementation did not differ from the control group
Obviously this was done very very carefully to avoid sunburn4. In this one on depressed vitamin D deficient women, a sun exposure program was not only associated with increased vitamin D level, but reduced depression as well
This one isn't groundbreaking, but the link between light and mental health is interesting
